Leanne is questioned by the police about the fire and she tells them she was with her boyfriend Dan when it happened and Dan goes along with her false alibi. Dan is increasingly annoyed at Paul's hold over Leanne, however, and when Paul wants to pop in to see Leanne, Dan refuses to leave her flat. Paul turns up and he's devastated to see Dan as it slowly dawns on him that Leanne has used him to do her dirty work. Gail has another flashback to the accident and tells a delighted Eileen that she remembers Jason leaving the house, ruling him out as a suspect. Tina is extremely distressed about Gail's memory returning and tells a nervous David that she wishes Gail would just remember everything and get it over with as she can't take the lies any more. Tony brings Amy a doll as an apology for the incident yesterday and he reassures Steve that the site foreman has agreed to re-route some of the site traffic. Steve is mollified by his reassurances and Liam is impressed by Tony's ability to wriggle out of trouble! Also, Eileen is annoyed that Lauren is continuously behind on her rent.
