Karen is worried that Rob isn't taking their plans to foster seriously...
Karen and Rob are at a foster training evening where they have to talk about each other’s traits, but while Karen praises Rob warmly, he makes jokes at her expense. They then play a listening game, where most of the group fail, including Karen, who is frustrated by Rob’s smugness at getting it right. At the end of the session, Karen and Rob admit that they found it harder than expected. Rob apologises for his over-enthusiasm but Karen tells him he doesn’t need to be nervous about becoming a foster parent – he’s got nothing to worry about.
Shak tells Heston that Ruhma and Alia are going shopping this evening, so they need to plan something else to avoid being dragged along. He suggests bowling, to which Heston agrees. Afterwards, they grab something to eat, and Shak says he and his family used to do things like this when he was little and admits that he wants to know about his dad. Heston is upset that their boys’ night out was a ruse from Shak all along. Shak feels guilty but is unrelenting and storms out, leaving Heston stunned.
