When Pcs Sally Armstrong and Emma Keane find Linda Mazvidza badly beaten, her partner Simon Munroe suggests the attack may be racial as Linda is an asylum seeker. Later, Sally and Emma find Linda's son Adie with a bag of counterfeit passports - that Linda has been selling. Linda tells DC Mickey Webb that she's applying for UK residency after her political activist husband, Joseph, was killed in Zimbabwe. She reveals that, in return for selling the passports, she was promised documents of her own. But then the team learn that Linda has already been granted permission to stay in the UK. Later, Simon turns up at the station claiming that Adie has been snatched by his father, Joseph. Linda finally confesses she escaped from violent Joseph and wanted new identification for herself and Adie. The race is soon on to find Adie before he's smuggled out of the country...
