Hit supernatural thriller Stranger Things returns for a third, eight-part series, and it’s now 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana.
The gang is growing up and looking forward to a Summer off school and hanging out at the new local mall.

Love is blossoming for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard), as well as Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Max (Sadie Sink).
But is the terrifying Mind Flayer (AKA Shadow Monster), the creature from the Upside Down, still a threat?
There are some new faces in Hawkins, too – mall employee Robin (Maya Hawke, daughter of actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke), slick and sleazy Mayor Kline (Cary Elwes) and dodgy journalist Bruce (Jake Busey).

What can we expect from this series of Stranger Things?
It’s scarier than the previous two series.
It was scary to even read the scripts!
The read throughs were really frightening.
I was like, ‘This is freaking me out.’
But showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer have done a beautiful job of balancing horror with sci-fi and comedy, as well as love interests, so you get it all.
Is Eleven finally trying to live a normal life?
Eleven has grown up so much since the first series – she used to be very serious, shy, troubled and complicated, and she still has some of those qualities, but she is learning to try to live a normal life.
However, I don’t think Eleven will ever be normal because she has powers, and she has a lot of fun with them this time.
Eleven has closed the gate to the Upside Down, but is the Mind Flayer still out there?
The Mind Flayer is very aware of Eleven, which is really scary for her.
He’s a threat to her, and she is to him, and that is looming over her this series.
