The real Phil Mitchell returns!
Phil considers hitting the bottle after his letter to Ben is returned from the prison. After confiding in Sharon she tells him to get a grip and get on with his life. After listening to a self-pitying Ian, who is miserable that Lucy is going to sell the family stall to pay off Michael, Phil realises Sharon is right. After telling Lucy he'll give her enough money to keep the stall he gets behind the bar at the Vic with a new sense of purpose. Masood is concerned when he overhears a heated phone conversation between Syed and his supplier, not helped by the pile of bank statements on the table. The family gathers to celebrate Syed and Christian setting a date for the civil partnership in October. The festivities turn sour when Tam discovers Zainab has asked Syed to take over the restaurant accounts, not having any faith in him. Lola is irritated when social worker Trish insists on upping the number of visits to keep a better eye on her and Lexi. Lola realises that she needs to provide for her baby and comes up with a business idea. Lola ropes Jay into breaking into Butcher's Joints and stealing the company's client list so they can start up on their own.
