Clare holds her victim hostage, but Max and Warren are in hot pursuit to try to stop her in her tracks. But Clare has no intention of giving in, and bundles her victim in to her car, prompting a reckless car chase. Pumped full of adrenalin, Clare is convinced she will get away scot free, but her car suddenly veers out of control, and she is thrown over the edge of a quarry with her vehicle plunged deep into the water below. Will Max and Warren get there in time to save the hostage and finally put an end to Clare's evil reign over Hollyoaks? Sarah is distraught to learn that John-Paul is planning on going to Dublin with Craig and begs him to take her back. When Craig rejects her, she ends up turning to Rhys for support. She confides in him about her previous disastrous relationships, and the pair get close, leading to Rhys' feelings for her to return. But he's gutted when Sarah tells him she just want to stay friends. Meanwhile, Craig is feeling emotional after his conversation with Sarah and needs reassurance from John-Paul.
