Eddie tells Vanessa that he's fallen out with Carol over Cora's candlesticks. Michael's concerned when he finds out as he needs Carol to stay with Eddie until next Tuesday when he plans to destroy him! Michael encourages Carol to see Eddie. Meanwhile, Vanessa is at the Emporium and she and Eddie are kissing. Eddie forces Vanessa to hide when Carol turns up. Vanessa is gutted when it's clear Eddie still wants Carol as Vanessa is starting to fall for him... Zainab agrees to go to a doctors' drinks reception with Yusef. One of the doctor's wives assumes they are married and Zainab doesn't correct her. Zainab is embarrassed when Yusef finds out, but he says he's flattered. Yusef kisses Zainab on the cheek and she turns to kiss him properly. A delighted Yusef feigns shock and Zainab is mortified. His plan to reel in Zainab is working... Ben returns to the Square from Peggy's. Phil tells Shirley not to fuss round Ben then he invites him out to the club. Ben decides to catch up with Jay instead. Ben finds Jay with Lola and Duncan, the young boxer who has been training at the gym. Ben invites the gang over to Phil's, but is annoyed when it turns into a couples-fest.
