Will Derek destroy Max and Tanya?
*Hour-long episode* Max puts his present for Tanya - a beautifully wrapped wedding dress - under the tree on Christmas morning. As the Branning clan arrive, Max is not best pleased to see Derek. When Derek makes snide remarks about being head of the family, everyone does their best to ignore him. Derek is fuming when Max and Jack say they want him gone after Christmas, but his revenge plan is falling into place. Lauren is delighted when Joey arrives, after being invited by Max. Derek is denied the chance of being 'Santa' when he rows with Joey as Max hands out the presents. Tanya is overwhelmed after opening her gift and realising what Max has planned. As the family prepare for the wedding Derek's revenge is complete when Max's world crashes down around him. Everyone reels in shock as Max lays into Derek. Max, Jack and Joey push Derek out of the house, but there are dark consequences to the day's events. Alfie gets into the spirit of things over at the Vic with Mo, Jean, Roxy, Michael, Scarlett and Amy. He is even more cheered as Kat has left Tommy for the day. Roxy encourages Alfie to have some bubbly and they share banter about the mistletoe. Later, Roxy and Alfie have a drink and Roxy tells Alfie she loves him! When Kat turns up begging Alfie's forgiveness he's not interested. Kat sees Roxy and assumes the worst.
