Lauren steels herself to visit Max at the car lot, realising it's time to try to repair their relationship. When Lauren arrives, little does she know that Emma is in the office with Max. Managing to hide Emma under the desk in the nick of time, Max is forced to give Lauren the brush off to get her out. A furious Lauren storms out and Emma encourages Max to go after her.
Mick and Linda are worried about Lee, who has disappeared in the wake of his revelation. When he eventually returns to the Vic, he tells them the truth about what he was up to on the night of Lucy's murder. After confessing he followed Lucy and saw her arguing with Billy in the street, Lee is encouraged by Nancy to go to the police and change his statement. Instead, Lee goes to confront Billy to find out what really went on.
Meanwhile, Billy is relieved when he finally gets a regular job, although it's not necessarily his ideal choice, as Les has given him a job in his funeral business! Lola is also keen to make some cash and applies for a job at Blades, but is left disappointed when Dean turns her down.
Also, Tina and Tosh visit Jake in prison as a date is set for the murder trial.
