Will Michael sell his soul?
Determined to up his game, Michael Spence gets involved in the mysterious case of a woman who needs facial reconstructive surgery and is surprised to find the lead surgeon is Sunil Bhatti, an old friend from medical school. With clinics all over the country, a sharp suit and flash car, Sunil is everything Michael has always wanted to be. Seeing the opportunity to make some serious cash, Michael works to gain Hanssen's interest in teaming up with Sunil for a plastics unit at Holby, using the woman's surgery as a case study. But when the case study is compromised, Sunil saves the day by finding another one. Michael admires Sunil's canny ways – but can he trust him? Meanwhile, Malick is convinced he's the next Michael – and must prove so to Hanssen. But when he and Dan disagree on the treatment of an overweight patient, it becomes clear that Malick is not yet ready for a consultant's job. Also, Sahira is determined not to be pigeon-holed as a surgeon who gets emotionally over-involved.
