Hollis' cause of death is revealed.
News of Hollis’ death rocks Forrester Creations in The Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 15, 2024.
We begin today in Malibu, where Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) are enjoying some time together while the kids are away. They’re on their way to the bedroom when Finn gets a text from Li (Naomi Matsuda), who says that Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) from Il Giardino died.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) enjoy a kiss of their own. Ridge loves having Brooke in the office more so they can “collaborate.” Hope (Annika Noelle) walks in and tells them the news about Hollis.
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) is cleaning up the restaurant while Deacon (Sean Kanan) sits in disbelief. He can’t believe Hollis is gone. Sheila says she won’t be able to get the image of Hollis out of her mind. He’s sorry she had to find him like that. He can’t believe Tom and Hollis are both gone.
Bill (Don Diamont) and Poppy (Romy Park) share a kiss after not spending enough time together over the weekend. He asks if she’s happy and she assures him that she is. He thinks she’s been preoccupied lately and hopes that she would tell him if something was going on.
Brooke can’t believe Hollis is dead. They all feel awful. Ridge asks about details, but there’s no news.
Deacon says that Hollis helped build Il Giardino and he can’t imagine being there without him. Sheila says Deacon was a great friend and boss to him. He wants to know what happened. Sheila lowers her eyes, unable to look at him.

Finn calls Li, who reveals that they’re running tests. She’s in the morgue now, and Finn says he’ll be right over.
Bill thinks Poppy is under some stress. He hopes she’s not having doubts about their relationship, and he vows to always take care of them. Luna (Lisa Yamada) walks in and tearfully says that Hollis is dead. Bill is shocked, but Poppy is stunned.
Finn can’t believe they were about to have a quiet morning as he wonders about the autopsy. Steffy reminds him that it happened at Il Giardino and she wonders about foul play. He promises to keep her posted.
Hope says she’s waiting for more details from Deacon. Brooke can’t believe how quickly things change and she’s glad she got to know Hollis. She and Ridge agree that Hollis was a nice guy.
Deacon says that Hollis’ death doesn’t make sense. He was fine and then he “keels over.” Sheila knows this is hard for Deacon to accept but he thinks he may have missed something. As the boss, he should be in touch with his crew. Hollis didn’t have any health issues. “Just a mystery,” Sheila says.
Luna is in shock over Hollis’ death. Bill immediately goes to her and hugs her. Luna says it’s not fair that Hollis is gone. Poppy says that she and Bill are there for her. Bill suggests that they stay away from Il Giardino because they’re having a run of bad luck.
Hollis is on the autopsy table as they wait for toxicology reports. Finn knows that Hollis is an active guy with no known conditions. “Very shocking,” Li agrees. They say goodbye to him as Li covers him up. “I’m sorry for what happened to you,” Li adds.
Hope knows that Hollis was a big influence for Deacon. Ridge feels terrible about it but two people have died at Il Giardino in two weeks. Steffy walks in and says there’s no way it’s a coincidence.
After two deaths, Deacon wonders who’s next. Sheila doesn’t say anything.
Poppy says that Li is overseeing Hollis’ autopsy. It makes Luna even sadder to think of him like that. Bill, trying to navigate Luna’s emotions, suggests that they honor him by celebrating the love they have. Poppy says she adores Bill and loves their life together. She loves how he welcomed them into the Spencer family. “It’s a dream come true,” she says as she hugs him. She tells him that she needs to be “someplace,” which makes Bill suspicious.
Li and Finn note the bruises on Hollis’ body. Li’s phone keeps buzzing and she tells Finn it’s his father, who won’t stop texting her. The lab results come in and they leave Li speechless.
Steffy tells them that Li is overseeing Hollis’ autopsy. She’s surprised that Hope doesn’t know. Ridge says it’s all very unsettling. Brooke can’t imagine how this happened, but Steffy has her suspicions. With multiple deaths, it must be Sheila.
Sheila tells Deacon she hates seeing him hurting. Deacon says they were like brothers and he made everyone feel so welcome. Deacon can’t help but think he’s responsible. Were there signs? Sheila reminds him that you can’t know what’s happening behind closed doors. Hollis was so healthy and Tom said he was turning his life around. “How could I be so clueless?” he wonders. Sheila says it would have happened anyway. Deacon tearfully admits he misses his friends. Sheila is sorry for his loss. As she hugs him, she looks away.
Bill asks Luna how she’s feeling. She’s sad, but he promises they’ll get through it together. He asks if she knows where Poppy went, but Luna has no idea.
Finn asks what the report says. She gives it to him and he looks at her in shock. Poppy walks in and says Luna is “beside herself” over Hollis’ death. She thought she should come in and get some answers. She asks how Hollis died and Li reveals that he was drugged. “Drugged, Poppy,” Li tells her. “And I know exactly who did it.”
