Poppy and Katie exchange words in The Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 23, 2024.

We begin today at Forrester Creations, where Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) share a kiss in the CEO’s office. She’d been expecting him sooner and asks what held him up.

Meanwhile, Hope (Annika Noelle) is in the design office thinking about her heated conversation with Finn. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) walks in and asks if she heard the news about Sheila being released. She says she heard because she was with Finn when Deacon texted him. Brooke gives her a look.

Poppy (Romy Park) tells Bill (Don Diamont) that Luna isn’t home so they could go get busy in the bedroom, but he has some business to attend to. She gets a phone call so she heads upstairs. Katie (Heather Tom) walks in and Bill is happy to see her, but she’s there to talk about their son and the changes in Bill’s life. She’s concerned about how much has changed. He assures her that everything is good with Poppy and Luna, but she thinks he’s not paying attention to what she’s trying to tell him. She’s worried that things aren’t what they appear with Poppy and Luna.

Finn asks Steffy how things are going at work. She admits she’s "frustrated" by work and he sits down, ready to listen. She’s tired of "all Logans all the time."

Brooke asks why she was with Finn, and Hope explains that they ran into each other. Hope says Deacon would call once they got settled. Brooke thinks Steffy and Finn will be worried about Sheila’s release, but Hope tells her that Finn might be a little "relieved" that his birth mother is free. Brooke can’t believe that he’s happy about it, but Hope quickly says he’s not "happy" at all. Hope explains that Finn wants "due diligence" with all of this but maybe he didn’t believe Sheila was behind the deaths.

Steffy says that Hope has been "difficult" lately and she’s losing her patience. He thinks they don’t understand each other. She admits that they have "adjacent goals" but Brooke isn’t helping because she has to face two women who are against her. She gets a text from Ridge that Sheila has been released, and then she realizes that Finn already knew about it. She can’t believe he didn’t tell her about it right away. "What are they thinking?" she demands.

Katie thinks Bill is moving really fast, but Bill feels like he missed out on too much already. And they’re family, so that’s all he needs. He thinks he’d feel the same way, if not worse, if the situation was reversed.

Katie tells him that Will is going to be home soon and she’s worried about how he’ll fit into the new dynamic. Bill is certain that their "resilient" son will be fine and he might love having a sister. Bill has to leave for his meeting, but Katie needs to find some paperwork for Will in the living room. Before he leaves, he tells Katie that he’s discussed adopting Luna to give her the Spencer name. Katie can’t believe it. "You need to be careful here," Katie says, citing a "weird vibe."She begs him to be cautious. He says he will and he kisses her forehead as Poppy listens from around the corner. As soon as Bill leaves, Poppy walks in and asks if there’s anything she can help with. She says it’s becoming a habit of finding Katie in Bill’s arms.

Brooke hopes Finn doesn’t tell Steffy that he’s "relieved" about the news, but Hope points out that he shouldn’t have to hide his feelings. When Hope starts defending him, Brooke reminds her that Finn belongs to Steffy. Hope is starting to wonder if Steffy deserves him.

Steffy is having a panic attack over the news. She can’t believe that she thought they were safe. Now Sheila will be out and Sheila could show up and manipulate Finn and the kids. She was so certain that Sheila was behind the deaths. She can’t understand what happened.

Katie says she cares about Bill as the father of her son, but Poppy reminds her that he’s the father to her daughter. Poppy says she heard the whole conversation and they’re there because Bill invited them and he has been very inviting and generous. "You let him go," Poppy tells her. She knows she wants Bill back and that’s what’s behind this whole thing.

Hope is alone in the design office but she can’t focus. She’s thinking about Finn once again and it consumes her.

Finn hates seeing how upset Steffy is. He reassures her that she and the kids will always be safe. She says he makes her feel safe, too, but she doesn’t understand why they let her go. He points out that there was no motive. Why would she kill the man who saved her and a man who was Deacon’s good friend? Finn agrees she was capable but it doesn’t make sense.

Katie says that it feels like it was so sudden when Poppy and Luna showed up. Katie says that Will will be home soon, which means Katie will be there, too. "So you’ll visit, and then you’ll leave," Poppy says. Katie says that Bill doesn’t see the holes in Poppy’s story. If she and Bill hooked up all those years ago, then there must be other men. Katie has talked to Luna about how much she wanted to know who her father is, so why wait 20 years? It’s like she’s hiding a secret that could ruin everything. Katie says she’s going to get answers to every single question she has about Poppy.
