Hope presses Thomas about his relationship with Paris while Katie pushes Bill’s buttons about Poppy  in The Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 3, 2024.

We begin today at Forrester Creations, where Hope (Annika Noelle) talks to her father on the phone about Tom’s death. She ends the call as Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) walks in and asks if she’s ok. She explains what happened, saying it was a "drug overdose."

Poppy (Romy Park) thinks back to her conversation with Bill (Don Diamont) about Tom. Bill walks in and says she was "incredible" earlier. She says she can’t thank him enough for the new life he has given her and Luna. He tells her he’s on his way to Forrester Creations to see Katie (Heather Tom).

Katie is in the office when Paris (Diamond White) walks in. Katie congratulates her on the engagement. But she’s concerned about whether it’s too soon for Thomas.

Thomas tells Hope that he doesn’t like how Steffy talked to her the other day and says she deserves an apology, though he doesn’t think she’ll get one. Hope says she has been dealing with Steffy for a long time and she’s actually more worried about Thomas. She asks him to think long and hard about this engagement.

Poppy asks about Bill’s meeting with Katie. He says they’re still Will’s parents and he has a lot to get used to. She asks him not to be gone too long, kissing him to remind him of their morning. Once he walks away, she sighs and says Katie’s name in frustration.

Paris tells Katie that she talked to Thomas about getting involved with someone who has feelings for someone else. Katie asks if she’s sure that Thomas has sorted out his feelings for Hope since they were so committed to each other.

Thomas admits he loves Hope. She presses him: "Are you running toward Paris or running away from me?" she asks.

Paris tells Katie that Hope was "thrown" when she found out about their engagement. Paris says Thomas is very open and honest with her, and right now it seems like Hope is the one who isn’t convinced of their love.

Hope says Paris is wonderful, but she doesn’t think Thomas really loves her because he was planning a future with her. He’s trying to "cut and paste" Paris into his life. Thomas says he wanted a future with Hope but she kept turning him down. Hope tearfully says she still loves him and she believes he loves her, too.

Poppy reads the article about Tom and weeps at the memories of him. We see a much younger Poppy and Tom at the music festival, where he finishes a private performance for her and says that she’s his inspiration. He never forgets a face, and he loves seeing her in the crowd. He kisses her. She tells him that she’ll "carry a piece of [him] inside of [her] forever." Back in the present, Poppy weeps. "I’m so sorry, Tom," she says.

Bill walks into Katie’s office and asks if she ever slows down. She laughs and teases him. He admits he’s trying to stop and smell the roses now that he has a daughter now. Katie says that life is full of surprises, pretending to forget Poppy’s name. She asks if Poppy is the person he remembers her to be. He wants to know what Katie’s getting at and she wonders why she would keep this secret for so long.

Bill notes that Katie never minces words. He assures her that she’s not overstepping, telling her that they have history and she’s one of the few people he fully trusts. Katie says he was her first love and she thanks God for the son they share."He’s the best of both of us," Bill agrees. Katie asks if it’s the same with Luna, and he asks what she thinks about Luna. After thinking about it, she sees a lot of Bill in Luna. Bill would love to have Will meet Luna soon, knowing Luna will be happy about it. Katie asks about Poppy. He asks if he should have excluded Poppy from all of this, and she says it’s happening so fast. He says he’s "fleetingly aware" of how fast life is and all of the time he missed with Luna. "I’ve  been alone for quite a while now," he says. "It’s not what I wanted. What I wanted is you. My Katie."

Thomas asks why Hope is bringing up all of their feelings from "back then" but she reminds him that not much time has passed. She thinks he’s the one who has been running away. He tells her that he found Paris and moved on. Paris stops outside the open door and listens in as Hope asks Thomas if he’s forgotten what they shared between them. Hope puts her hands on his chest and he wraps his hand around her face. He tells her to stop because they aren’t going anywhere. "It’s over," he says, walking out.

Paris walks in and closes the door. She asks Hope if she has to remind her that Thomas is her fiance now, and Hope is out of line.

Katie asks why Bill is talking like this when Poppy is living in his house. She points out she’s in love with him, and that’s really hard for him. She feels like "an interloper" in her own home. That was her house and she has so many amazing memories there, but it’s all different now. Bill says he feels the same way, and Bill asks what’s really going on. She doesn’t want to admit how hard the "situation" with Luna and Poppy has been for her. And she doesn’t trust Poppy, but she doesn’t know why. "There’s just something about her," she says. She cautions him to be careful.

Poppy thinks back to that conversation with Tom before he died. She told him that Luna wasn’t his daughter, but he was insistent that Luna would learn the truth.

Paris reminds Hope that she was a valuable part of Hope for the Future, and Thomas put a ring on her finger. But she’s being disrespectful. Hope says she loves Thomas. Paris knows they will always have feelings for each other but they’re going to be married. "So don’t ever make a play for Thomas again."
