Will there be a Prime Day alternative deal on Netflix?

At the moment, we're in the midst of Prime Day, during which Amazon offers discounts and sales over loads of its products and services. Yes, that includes some Prime Video deals, which might have streaming fans wondering: will there be a Netflix deal too?

This isn't wishful thinking, because loads of retailers kick off Prime Day alternatives; even Paramount Plus has a deal running on its Prime Video channel right now to save money on several months' of a subscription which you can find here. Unfortunately, though, Netflix isn't the same.

Since the glory days of the free trial, Netflix hasn't offered discounts to get you to sign up, as its talked-about Originals are all the sales pitch it needs. That's the case over Prime Day too, with no Netflix deal around.

That doesn't mean that Netflix fans can't find ways to save money though. Netflix has lots of properties with gifts and items sold on Amazon that you might find interesting. Let's look at a few right now:

Prime Day deals on Netflix books

It's no secret that a huge number of Netflix series and movies are based on books and comics. From the likes of The Witcher and Umbrella Academy to The Haunting of HIll House, Rebecca and The Queen's Gambit, bibliophiles have lots to watch.

The reverse is true too though: if you've watched a Netflix series you enjoy, you might be wanting to read the novel that it's based on.

Given that books are one of the main products that drove Amazon's success, it's no surprise that you can easily pick them up on the online marketplace. That's just as true for fans of audiobooks, e-books and comic books.

In fact, there are some great discounts on books for Prime Day. A brief scan shows up to 80% off lots of books, including some being adapted for TV (the front page of Amazon UK at the time of writing shows books being adapted for Disney Plus, Hulu, Netflix and the BBC).

So use the below links to search Amazon's Prime Day book store to find a Netflix novel of your choosing:

If you're more interested in books about Netflix itself, there's a discount on 'No Rules Rules' which is a book about Netflix's culture written by its CEO Reed Hastings. There's also a Netflix cookbook and a novel on the birth of Netflix called 'That Will Never Work'.

Prime Day deals on ways to watch Netflix

Want to use Prime Day to find a way to stream your favorite Netflix shows in higher quality?

Well there are plenty of Prime Days deals on 4K TVs and projects, but I'd recommend you look at streaming stick discounts. These are how I watch Netflix and they're really cheap over Prime Day.

The way these work is that you plug them into your current TV and it transforms it into a smart TV: you don't need to buy a brand-new set in order to enjoy Netflix and many other streaming services.

Prime Day deals: other Netflix deals

There are so many other deals for Netflix fans that it'd take a lifetime to list it all. Prime Day would be over by then! So lets' take a glance over some ideas.

If you're looking for a memento on a Netflix franchise like The Witcher or One Piece, Funko Pop models remain incredibly popular. These are little plastic figures you display of characters in franchises and they always see discounts over Prime Day. Check out Funko Pop deals here.

Fans of board games and card games will see plenty of them based on Netflix properties, and you can browse the deals here. A quick glance shows Ozark, Bridgerton picks as well as loads of classic games like Clue and Monopoly themed around franchises like Stranger Things and Wednesday.

Another popular pick is clothing based on Netflix franchises or the streamer itself, and here's a run-down of the many deals. Some of these look like comfy clothes for binging Netflix and there are also hoodies, tees and sweaters based on various Netflix Originals too.
