Holby's Bob: 'Sacha risks his marriage for his child'
Sacha wants to get Daniel's bone marrow tested, but Chrissie is anxious for her young son, as Holby City star Bob Barrett reveals...
What's Sacha's relationship like with wife Chrissie?
"Although Sacha loves Chrissie so much, they're not soulmates, they don't see eye-to-eye on stuff, they're very different. And this situation involving Sacha's daughter Rachel, whose suffering from leukemia, highlights why they're so different."
Desperate to save Rachel, this week, Sacha suggests to Chrissie that they get their son Daniel tested as a bone marrow match...
"To Sacha, family is family, no matter what. He's under duress and he has just one thing on his mind, which is to make Rachel better. It's all about being a good parent, being a good father."
But Chrissie's not keen to have Daniel tested. Why?
"Chrissie is Rachel's stepmother, but Daniel is her only son. And with everything she's been through in the past, suffering a stillbirth, this situation is very hard for her."

Sacha goes ahead and orders the blood test on their son without Chrissie's permission. How does this affect their relationship?
"Sacha would throw himself under a bus for his kids in a heartbeat. But, of course, what gets hurt in all this is his relationship with Chrissie. He's at risk of sacrificing his marriage for the sake of his child."
Do you think viewers will empathise with Sacha or Chrissie in this latest development?
"I'm sure some will side with Chrissie, while others will side with Sacha. All I can ask, as an actor, is that people see the reason why Sacha wants to get Daniel tested - that he's so desperate for Rachel to live that he thinks it's a risk worth taking."
