Jennifer Metcalfe 'devastated' after love split
Jennifer Metcalfe is reportedly 'devastated' after breaking up with Dancing on Ice professional skater Sylvain Longchambon. Hollyoaks star Jennifer and 32-year-old Sylvain began dating after they were partnered together on the ITV1 show two years ago, but have now split, according to The Sun. A source told the paper: "Jennifer is absolutely gutted. She just did not see this coming. She is in bits." The 29-year-old actress has made no reference to the alleged split on Twitter, focusing on her role as Cinderella in a Whitley Bay pantomime production. The newspaper claims the French skater made the decision after 'developing feelings' for Samia Ghadie, his new celebrity ice dance partner in the coming series. Samia, best known for playing hairdresser Maria Connor in ITV soap Coronation Street, is said to be single after splitting with former co-star Will Thorp in early December. A friend denied that she and Sylvain are an item, but told The Sun: "Samia is adamant she has done nothing wrong, but she admits that she's close to Sylvain and that he has been a rock to her since her relationship broke down with Will. They clearly have chemistry and they are both single. "No one can say what will happen in the future, but they aren't an item yet."
