Ricky Whittle has filmed his final scenes for his role as Calvin Valentine in Hollyoaks. In the early hours of Friday, the actor wrapped his last moments, which see the character die after being shot at his wedding. The day before, he tweeted: "Died again today at work, one more day (die again!) to go then it's off into the big wide world, exciting, gonna miss Oaks and everyone there." He kept his followers on Twitter updated throughout the night, at one point writing: "Still dying, 2 and a half hours on the floor outside in April, not fun, havin a giggle with everyone tho." An hour later, Ricky said he could 'feel the flu creepin in' as crew honed the death scene. Calvin's murder was foreshadowed last year in the 'flashforward' episode, and in May viewers will finally discover who the culprit is when the scenes play out again. Ricky, who quit Hollyoaks after four years to pursue a career Stateside, told his fans on Twitter that he had 'exciting offers in pipeline'.
