The Astoni family are the latest clan to join Home and Away. They find a home while holidaying in Summer Bay, but how will the rest of the residents respond?
With every new arrival the feathers of the Home and Away residents are always ruffled, and it's likely the new Astoni family will raise the locals' suspicions.
Star Wars actor Rohan Nichol plays Ben, who is married to Maggie, played by Australian actress Kestie Morassi. The couple are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of their city home with a trip to Summer Bay.
Ben and Maggie bring along their teenage daughters Ziggy and Coco, played by Sophie Dillman and Anna Cocquerel, and Summer Bay could be just what the Astoni family need as Ziggy and Coco's school and personal lives are spiralling out of control.
Coco was bright and funny until she started high school, where she was targeted by 'mean girl' style bullies who have caused her to become more withdrawn and obsessed with social media. Her sister, Ziggy, is a feisty, confident 19-year-old, who has a tendency to rebel.
Lucy Addario, Home and Away producer, said the Astoni family are grounded by their fierce familial love. She added: "Like any family, they each have a keenly attuned instinct for riling each other up, but no matter what obstacles are thrown at them, the family know they’ve got each other’s back."
Ben and Maggie are very much in love but, with Maggie soon to be principal at Summer Bay High School, how will Coco cope with her mum's new job?
With regards to the Astoni family's arrival, Lucy added: "The Astonis settle into the Summer Bay community without incident…almost!"
