Lucy Pargeter misses out on I'm A Celeb final

The final of I'm A Celebrity will crown a new king of the jungle on Sunday night after Lucy Pargeter - the last woman standing - was voted out of the show.

The Emmerdale actress had fought off competition from fellow female campers including Rebecca Adlington, Amy Willerton and Laila Morse to make it to the final three.

Ultimately, however, she couldn't see off the challenge from Kian Egan and David Emanuel - who will not compete in Sunday's final for the series title.

Lucy appeared thrilled to learn she would be leaving camp, as it would mean being reunited with boyfriend Rudi and daughter Lola.

And afterwards she was quick to defend her behaviour against Amy Willerton, saying that she had been angered by the recent contraband scandal in camp.

"It's a small group down there and I didn't want to cause anyone any aggro that wasn't necessary," she said.

"But we're there as a team and if one person lets that down that's the one thing that's going to pee me off."

The actress had previously been seen to admit feeling bad over her treatment of Amy, especially over the contraband issue which had seen the campers potentially denied meals if she did not hand forbidden items over.

“She’s a lovely girl but has got to learn to be less selfish," she pointed out.

"I guess I just want everyone to be on an even playing field, I’ve been really wound up the last couple of days but today it’s a clean sheet. I feel an awful lot better.”
