Neighbours' Kym hospitalised with clot on lung
Neighbours star Kym Valentine has reportedly been rushed to hospital with a blood clot on the lung. The 33-year-old, who plays Libby Kennedy in Ramsay Street, fell ill while on a two-week break from filming, and was later admitted to a Melbourne hospital, according to Australia's Daily Telegraph. The actress is expected to return to filming on a restricted schedule next week, a soap spokesman told the newspaper. Executive producer Susan Bower said: "Unfortunately it is that time of year when people are prone to illness. "We wish Kym a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her next week when we return from a production break." In July 2008, Kym suffered a collapsed lung while on a flight from New York to Melbourne after catching pneumonia. Actress Michala Banas was temporarily cast in the role of Libby while Kym recovered from her illness. Click here to watch whatsontv.co.uk’s weekly soaps video preview, the Soap Scoop
