A quick chat with Peaches Geldof
OMG, Peaches Geldof has landed her own TV show... Peaches Geldof has raised a fair few eyebrows over the years with her antics, but now it's the model-cum-party-girl's turn to be shocked when she meets a range of guests with unusual lifestyles and obsessions in a new ITV2 topical debate show called OMG! With Peaches Geldof. TV&Satellite Week magazine caught up with her to find out more... OMG! With Peaches Geldof is not a self-help show like Trisha's... It's more about seeing why these lifestyles inspire such debate in the general public. There is a Jerry Springer-like quality to it. One show is about people who think they are vampires... It was fascinating. I had fangs fitted and hung out in a bar in Camden in London with people wearing bad plastic coats. It was bizarre. I met up with a woman who is a 'cougar' and goes after younger men... She showed me these techniques she used to pick up young guys and they really go for her. She was in her sixties but looked amazing. I was most surprised by the polyamorous people I met who love more than one person at once... They were Oxbridge-educated and surprisingly normal, and their arguments were really seductive about how it eradicates jealousy. But the idea of my boyfriend even talking to another girl makes me want to kill someone. It annoys me that people think I'm a rich daddy's girl who leeches on her father for money... It's ludicrous that they think my father is smothering me in money. He grew up in Dickensian Ireland so he is never going to be that person. When I can buy a tube pass for a month, that is the height of luxury for me. I get starstruck by D-list celebrities... If I saw Claire Sweeney walking down the street I would be right on it getting my photo taken. I love Twitter... I like that I can tweet the mundane banalities of my day-to-day existence and people comment on it. I have about 100,000 followers but I hope they appreciate the photos of my boyfriend's hair because that is all I really tweet about these days. I try not to read criticism about myself... Journalists write complete rubbish about me. I just don't read it. If I did, I would go crazy. OMG! With Peaches Geldof starts on Wednesday March 2 at 9pm on ITV2
