An emotional Adrian Chiles fought back tears as he presented his final edition of The One Show on Friday night. The 43-year-old, who is leaving the BBC after 18 years to join ITV, said, "I don't know what I'll do without it," during a programme which was filled with special guests. "I just want to thank all the fantastic One Show team for everything and all the viewers for watching," he added. Adrian also paid tribute to his co-presenter Christine Bleakley, with whom he was worked on the show for the past three years. "It's been a ball to work with such great people - and most of all, Christine," he said, as she also appeared tearful. Among the guests on the show were rocker Robert Plant and Lord Alan Sugar, who worked with Adrian on the The One Show spin-off show You're Fired! There were also special messages from Gordon Brown, Nick Clegg and David Cameron. Adrian is thought to have agreed a £6 million contract over four years with ITV after becoming disenchanted by the BBC's decision to replace him with Chris Evans on The One Show on Friday nights. He is tipped to front GMTV as well as presenting the channel's World Cup coverage which begins next month. Matt Allwright will fill in for Adrian on The One Show from Monday as show bosses seek a permanent replacement.
