Apprentice Jenny 'too good for Sir Alan' says boss
The Apprentice candidate Jenny Celerier is 'too good for Sir Alan', according to a blog set up by her boss to chart her progress on the show. The 36-year-old sales manager has survived her second week on the BBC television show, in which budding entrepreneurs vie for a six-figure salary working for Sir Alan Sugar. Her boss, Bill Rumble, of Gateshead-based energy efficiency company Mark Group has set up the blog on the firm's website. Mr Rumble wrote: "Over the next few weeks, I'll be keeping a critical eye on Jen's performance as she progresses through the show and giving my view on the competition she faces along the way," he wrote. But he insisted that his support would only stretch so far. "I need to make one thing clear. I don't want Jen to win. While I'll be shouting at the TV and willing her along, the perfect result for me would be for her to get through to the final two only to be pipped to the post. "She's too good for Sir Alan and I'd like to see her back in the Mark Group to take her team to even greater things." Jenny, from Leicester, has been named salesperson of the year three times. In his appraisal of his employee's first appearance on the show, Mr Rumble said she had been 'doing what she does best - selling'. On Wednesday night's show, Jenny was project manager for the girls' team, which failed a task to set up an overnight laundry business. She ended up in the boardroom alongside Lucinda Ledgerwood and Shazia Wahab, who was eventually fired by Sir Alan. Mr Rumble's first blog can be found at www.markgroup.co.uk/apprentice-blog/week-1.
