Armstrong walks out on Miller!
Comedy double act Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller became a solo act today when Alexander walked out on Ben. The comic duo were due to be interviewed on ITV1's This Morning about their upcoming Armstrong and Miller tour'. But after arriving at the studios together, Ben was left to speak to the show's presenters Phil and Holly by himself after Alexander heard news of his wife going into labour! Alexander received the phone call in the middle of having his make up done and had to abandon Ben to rush to be with his wife, Hannah. Alexander and Hannah are already parents of two sons, Rex and Patrick, so this will be their third child. During the show, friend Ben told Phil and Holly: "It's really exciting – Hannah called Xander and he just sort of said 'I should go now'… I think its three weeks early but so was their last one he said!” Holly wished Hannah luck and Phil added: “Give our love to him and their family when you next speak." Ben responded: "I shall be calling him straight after this!" On the pair's comedy tour, he said: "We are going on the road! We are doing a 60-date tour... and it'll be all new material especially for a live audience. "We've got new characters and we've got these old school vampires and are like middle aged men at a disco! "And also characters who own a lingerie shop… It is tough live but what makes it so exciting is things can and do go wrong!"
