Austin Healey: I want a refund
Austin Healey has backed a decision to give refunds after the Strictly Come Dancing voting fiasco - and says he wants his money back. The ballroom dancing show hot shot said the BBC had 'made the right decision' in offering viewers of the hit show their money back. Speaking at a volunteer charity event in London's Hyde Park, the former England rugby ace said he, too, would be asking for a refund after voting for Holby City star Tom Chambers in last week's show. Austin, who was eliminated in the 12th week of the show and scored fourth place overall, said the debacle was down simply to a 'mathematical freak error'. "I'll be phoning back after my four million phone calls for Tom Chambers, to claim my money back - which approximately, by my calculations, is about £3.2 million," he joked. Father-of-four Austin said he expects Tom will be 'delighted' to be in the final as it looked as though he was heading off the show. "As for the two girls, they will just pleased to be in the final," he said. Despite the furore, Austin said he still misses being part of the show, nearly two weeks after his below-par salsa with dancing partner Erin Boag saw him lose out to radio host Lisa Snowdon in the dance-off. "I'm missing it like mad, it was such a big part of my life," he said. "People at home want to know why you get so into it, it's only a dancing competition - but you put so much effort into it, both you and your professional partner."
