As the seventh series of Cold Feet continues tonight, life is brought into sharp focus for Adam when, in the throes of passion, he mentions the idea of kids! New love Tina tells him he’s too old to be thinking like that, but could there be children in their future? Elsewhere, Karen has her hands full with diva novelist Bridie, and as Pete struggles to cope with his newly "empowered" wife Jenny, he also has his hands full in his capacity as entertainments manager. He arranges a tea dance at the care home, where Adam and David receive some sage advice. And speaking of David, has he wandered into dangerous territory since getting friendly with Cheshire housewife Nikki? Another great episode! Rating: ****

Comedy Playhouse: Static,10.35pm, BBC1

Rob Beckett has assembled a mightily impressive cast for his brand new sitcom pilot – how many other comedians can boast that Alison Steadman and Phil Davis are playing their mum and dad?! Rob, a regular face on TV panel shows, plays a younger version of himself, who moves back home when he runs out of money. The only problem is his parents – who are delighted to see him, but have downsized from their spacious family house to a static caravan in Margate. So, for the foreseeable future at least, it looks like a sofa bed and cringey campsite talent are the order of the day for Rob. Will he see any of the charm in his new life? An endearing half hour. Rating: ****

Cosmic Dancer, 9.00pm, BBC4

Forty years ago this weekend, Marc Bolan died in a car crash at the age of 29. This documentary uses Marc’s words, from diaries and interviews, as well as contributions from producer Tony Visconti, close friend Steve Harley and Toyah Willcox, who was a fan in her teens. The self-styled ‘dandy in the underworld’ borrowed from Elvis, James Dean and Rimbaud among others, and more than one interviewee here credits him with being the first glam rocker. Rating: ***
