As pressure mounts on Andrew, he is given hope when he meets up with Dennis Walters (Peter Davison) who shares with him his own past experiences of Laura. After new light is shed on the case, though, matters become more complex, leaving DI Harmon deeply conflicted. Meanwhile, Laura is fretting about the earring she left at Andrew’s house and becoming aware that Luke is going through hell at school as a result of her accusations. But then another student, Makeda, requires her help, and Andrew’s assistance may also be needed… Elsewhere, while Katy’s husband Liam grows suspicious about her behaviour, Laura’s ex Tom takes matters into his own hands once more. Will justice be done? Rating: ****

Matters are becoming more complex and shocking than ever now as we move several days further back into the past – another murder victim is found and there seem to be links to the acid killer. But is everything really as it appears? Meanwhile, more comes to light about ever-so-slightly-creepy Patrick Barker (Paul Rhys), and Gabriel is distracted by his own equally challenging private life as we discover the danger his daughter Hannah has put herself in after going missing. Cross-dressing footballer Ryan Chelford is causing more headaches for Ian Fletcher. With Match of the Day refusing to have him back because he’s so boring, the pressure is on to find another role for Ryan at the BBC. How about a spot on A Question of Sport? Or will his new publicist, the one and only Siobhan Sharpe, get her way and get him onto Strictly? Excruciating but great comedy. Rating: ****
