Simon Cowell has put a Britain's Got Talent finalist through to the boot camp round of this year's X Factor.
Steph Edwards was signed to Sony Records after making it to the BGT final in 2013 with group Luminites.
According to The Sun, Simon was full of praise for Steph in the X Factor arena auditions and she got four yeses from the judges after proving a hit with the live audience.
Luminites split earlier this year after their debut single Do Something flopped at number 65 in the UK charts.
But X Factor producers reportedly encouraged Steph to try and go it alone on X Factor.
Simon - a high-powered executive at Steph's former record label - apparently told her she was brave to pick herself up after a knock and said she could be a star.
Meanwhile, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini was apparently booed by the audience as she tried to fill in for Simon when he was taken ill.
TV's Mr Nasty had to miss part of the Wembley auditions as he was suffering from a migraine, so Cheryl tried to take his place by sitting in his seat on the panel, cutting songs short with dismissive hand gestures and being the toughest judge.
According to The Sun her harsh criticism went a bit too far when she told one aspiring singer she'd be better off trying her hand at stand-up comedy - and reduced her to tears - earning Cheryl a chorus of boos from the audience.
Cheryl was also booed by the crowd when she advised another wannabe to try and be more like pop brat Justin Bieber.
