Mohamed and Sara were on tenterhooks as they waited for the announcement

Darnell looked relieved that he was not up for eviction this week

In the end however it was Dale who got the boot - and he was thrilled

Darnell was the first person to leap up and give Dale a hug after the announcement

Rex was also among the first to offer commiserations - or congratulations - to Dale

And there was excitement among the other housemates

Mohamed looked pleased at the news, despite losing a £50 bet that Dale would stay in the house

There was time for a quick goodbye hug from Rachael before he departed...

By the time Davina returned to the house Dale was raring to go...

Dale's nerves were showing as he waited for the house door to open

But his enthusiasm returned as he exited the house to a resounding chorus of cheers

And he could barely hide his excitement as he greeted the crowds outside

Dale talked enthusiastically during his eviction interview about his time in the house...

...and shyly admitted that he would like to see Jennifer again

But there was a surprise for Dale after the interview - in the shape of Jennifer

The pair embraced as they were reunited - and Dale could barely take his eyes off his former housemate
