Casualty fans thrilled to hear that Sharon Gless is returning!
Zsa Zsa made a big impression
Sharon Gless will return to Casualty later this year as brain surgeon Zsa Zsa – and Casualty fans are thrilled!
The Beeb teased that big Casualty news was coming earlier today and viewers certainly weren’t disappointed when they heard that the former Cagney & Lacey star will be heading back.
“Aww she’s back,” tweeted one fan, while another said: “That is lovely news. Really enjoyed Sharon’s appearance last time.”
Sharon popped up as Zsa Zsa Harper-Jenkinson for the first time last November and at the time she explained to us that she was thrilled about guesting in the show.
“My agent called me and explained producer Daf Llwelyn requested me on this really huge TV series called Casualty. I love working in the UK and Zsa Zsa is the best character so I said I’d love to. Apparently it’s the first time Casualty have flown an American over to play a role.”
And Sharon explained to us that her character had a close attachment to doctor Dylan Keogh.

“Zsa Zsa taught Dylan when he was a young surgeon. You discover they didn’t stay in touch. She wanted to but Dylan’s very emotionally withdrawn. “
Sharon obviously had fun on Casualty and soon she’ll be back…
