Celebrity Big Brother loses TWO contestants in one night

Celebrity Big Brother, Christopher Biggins, Grant Bovey

It was a busy night in the Celebrity Big Brother house as both Christopher Biggins and Grant Bovey got the boot.

His controversial opinions have already got Christopher Biggins into trouble once this week in Celebrity Big Brother, but it seems he just couldn't keep his mouth shut. After making yet more comments “capable of causing great offence”, Channel 5 removed the 67-year-old entertainer from the house.

Biggins' shock removal came just hours before Grant Bovey became the first housemate to be officially evicted by the public.

In a statement, the Channel 5 reality TV show said “Big Brother has taken the decision to remove Christopher Biggins from the Celebrity Big Brother house.”

It went on to explain that Christopher “has made a number of comments capable of causing great offence to housemates and the viewing public,” and stressed that “Big Brother does not tolerate offensive language capable of causing widespread offence.”

The statement concluded “Christopher Biggins has left the house.”

As yet Channel 5 haven't released details of what Christopher said to cause him to be kicked off the show. At last night's eviction host Emma Willis said details of his exit will be revealed in tonight's episode.

She said “His departure and all the events leading up to it will be shown on tomorrow night’s show.”

Biggins was the first person to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house last week, but had already shocked viewers when he made controversial remarks about bisexual people.

Speaking to Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, the TV and pantomime star said people need to “pick a team” when it comes to their sexuality.

In the public eviction, Anthea Turner's ex-husband, Bovey, received the fewest votes from viewers and was the first celebrity to officially leave the house. Bovey was up against DJ James Whale. He left the house to a mixed reaction as people both cheered and booed before he was greeted by Emma.

Of his short time in the Celebrity Big Brother house Bovey told Emma "Being in Big Brother has been extraordinary and I have been able to spend time with extraordinary and talented people from all walks of life. It’s brought things out of me I never thought I’d do in a million years."

Bovey revealed that Biggins was the head of the house. Speaking to Emma during his exit interview he said "Biggins is in control of the house. Everybody looks up to him – the older set and the younger set. He holds court."

Find out what Biggins did to cause him to be kicked off the show in tonight's episode of Celebrity Big Brother.
