The Celebrity MasterChef team has signed up two daytime ITV stars for the next series of the culinary competition.

Celebrity MasterChef 2024 will see presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode putting another batch of celebs through their paces in the MasterChef kitchen, and two more stars set to feature when the show returns later this year may have just been revealed.

According to The Sun, ITV daytime presenters Craig Doyle and Christine Lampard are due to compete for the chance to lift the MasterChef trophy this time around.

Craig Doyle was a sports presenter and has more recently become a regular face on This Morning.

Christine Lampard regularly appears on the daytime ITV talk show Loose Women and has been a frequent guest presenter on Lorraine; like Doyle, she's also part of the This Morning presenting team, too.

Christine and Craig are just the latest names rumored to be taking part in the new series. Other celebs said to be cooking up a storm include Steps member Ian 'H' Watkins, new Gladiators star Nitro (Harry Aikines-Aryeetey), reality star Charlotte Crosby, former Love Island contestant, Chloe Burrows, The Traitors season 2's breakout star, Diane Carson and radio presenters Edith Bowman and Snoochie Shy.

Celebrity MasterChef 2024 will be the cooking competition's 19th series. And whilst we don't have a release date just yet, we can expect the show to hit screens sometime over the summer, as per the show's usual release pattern.

The 18th series, Celebrity MasterChef 2023, aired across August and September 2023. After a tough competition, Welsh opera singer and broadcaster Wynne Evans emerged as the winner.

In the final, he competed against Emmerdale's Amy Walsh and ex-Love Island star Luca Bish. Wynne served up a delicious menu of tuna tartare, Welsh lamb and bara birth.

Of his cooking, Gregg Wallace said at the time: "I have never seen a celebrity cook like him ever before and I'm not sure we ever will again."

Celebrity MasterChef does not have a confirmed release date at the time of writing. You can catch up with previous editions, including the 2023 Christmas Cook-Off specials, on BBC iPlayer.
