Dennis said: “To win the Jungle? It would be lovely but I am not sure I am going to be the winner of this show. I’ve upset too many football supporters over the years. But maybe Chelsea fans will vote for me.”

Jack said: “There are going to be people going ‘Who is this kid?’ but on YouTube I am very much myself and I will bring that personality to the camp,” he reveals. “I do feel lucky to be in this position and of course, I think everyone will hit the wall at some point but you do have to remember what an amazing show you are on.”

Shappi Khorsandi, 44

Shappi said: “It would be amazing to win this. The only thing I have won before is the egg and spoon race in 1981. But when I am in there, I don’t want to see other people as competitors. That would take the fun away. It is not what I am about and why I am in there.”

Amir Khan, 30

Amir said: "“I am one guy who hates spiders. Whenever I see a spider at home, I get my sister to move it. I just don’t deal with it. I hope I don’t come across any of them when I am in the Jungle but I know I am going to. Will I scream? Yes definitely but maybe this is the time where I face my phobias! I also hate snakes and heights too.”

Stanley Johnson, 77

Best known for: Being the dad of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson!

Stanley said: “I have to tell you I have never watched the show. It’s all totally new to me, I know absolutely nothing about it but I’ve been told about it and obviously I am ready to give it a go. I don’t think I am dreading anything. I am looking forward to being with the fellow competitors, contestants. I say that because it is a competition isn’t it?”

Vanessa White, 28

Vanessa said: “I told the rest of the group just before I went to Australia. I kept it a secret for ages but I had to tell them in the end as I really wanted to. I just know they will vote for me to do the trials, as they will want to see me scream and shout.”

Jamie Lomas, 42

Jamie said: “I have finished on Hollyoaks now. I had to make a decision - whether to sign or take the gamble. The gamble was I wanted to do this. And I felt it came at the right time. And it has paid off because I am doing it.”

Georgia “Toff” Toffolo, 23

Best known for: Being in Made In Chelsea

Georgia said: “I am really excited I won’t have to do that and I am looking forward to not putting make-up on or having my hair done. I’ve been doing Made In Chelsea for four years now and everything is so fast paced. I am looking forward to being away from that.”

Before working for What To Watch, David spent many years working for TV Times magazine, interviewing some of television's most famous stars including Hollywood actor Kiefer Sutherland, singer Lionel Richie and wildlife legend Sir David Attenborough. 

David started out as a writer for TV Times before becoming the title's deputy features editor and then features editor. During his time on TV Times, David also helped run the annual TV Times Awards. David is a huge Death in Paradise fan, although he's still failed to solve a case before the show's detective! He also loves James Bond and controversially thinks that Timothy Dalton was an excellent 007.

Other than watching and writing about telly, David loves playing cricket, going to the cinema, trying to improve his tennis and chasing about after his kids!
