Cheryl posts downbeat Instagram selfie to announce return to the studio
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is currently undergoing intense media speculation on the state of her marriage to Jean-Bernard and her latest selfie hasn’t convinced fans that she’s coping with the pressure.
The Fight For This Love singer chose a particularly downcast-looking selfie as she determinedly told her Instagram followers that she would start recording new music soon.
She captioned the black-and-white snap: “Think its time for the.. Studio!!! It is on 2016!”
It comes just a few days after she shared another image that saw her put behind her a tumultuous 2015.
“Bye 2015..you’ve been real!!!!! You have taught me a lot but I am happy to see the back of you !!” she wrote alongside a picture of her holding her middle finger to her lips.

She continued: “Happy New Year everyone.. I hope this year brings you everything you wished for & is filled with happiness, love & laughter! Wishing you a happy , healthy & prosperous new year.”
Cheryl narrowly missed out on winning the X Factor with her act Reggie N’ Bollie in December and has suffered months of comments about her weight in the run-up to and during the show.
She now faces rumours that her 19-month marriage is on the rocks, although neither Cheryl nor Jean-Bernard have publicly commented.

It is Cheryl’s second marriage – she split from footballer Ashley Cole in 2010.
Cheryl’s last album was Only Human, released in November 2014, which spawned number one hits Crazy Stupid Love and I Don’t Care.
Luckily fans on Instagram were quick to offer their support for both her plans for new music and to advise her to ignore the rumours, with one writing, “Keep positive. Positive mental attitude. Everything happens for a reason.”
