Wildlife presenter Chris Packham has been found not guilty of assault following an altercation with two men in Malta on Tuesday
Wildlife TV presenter Chris Packham has been cleared of assault during in incident while filming in Malta.
Packham, 55, was arrested on Tuesday following an altercation with two locals while filming a documentary about illegal bird-trapping on the island on Tuesday.
Packham tweeted on Thursday morning: "NOT GUILTY! And wait until you see our evidence..." before retweeting a picture of a disc with the title 'video footage'.
The disc, belonging to a colleague, is dated 18 April - the day of the incident . Alongside it, she wrote: "As if there was any doubt".
The BBC reports his agent saying that Packham was filming on the roadside when two men began 'shoving' him and his crew.
Packham had earlier posted a video saying he had been charged with 'using force against any person, with an intent to insult, annoy or hurt them'

The two men, according to the agent, drove up to his team and shouted at and shoved them during filming for a documentary called Malta: Massacre on Migration.
He continued: "Whilst Chris and the team stood back, the police joined them. Instead of intervening on behalf of the innocent parties, the police immediately took the side of the aggressors and manhandled Chris and other members of the team off the site."
Packham said that, just hours before the incident, he had called police after seeing what he thought was a cage full of birds, including some protected species.
The presenter tweeted alongside his video: "Malta! You point out suspected criminals to the police ... and you end up in court!"
