Cold Feet star Fay Ripley ‘relieved’ with audiences praise of Jenny’s cancer storyline
Fay’s character was diagnosed with breast cancer
Cold Feet star Fay Ripley admitted she is ‘relieved’ with the response her character’s storyline has received from the public.
Fay, who plays Jenny in the ITV show, admitted she has had a positive response from people over her realistic portray of Jenny’s battle with breast cancer.
‘I’m so hugely relieved that I don’t appear to have let people down,’ Fay told the Mirror.
‘That was the very thing I was most nervous about. I didn’t want to let people down who were genuinely going through this.
‘What I’m playing is a story – for other people it’s their lives. A misrepresentation would be awful, people take it really seriously’.
‘I feel such an outpouring of people’s personal stories to me,’ she added.
