He has a career spanning over 40 years as a comedian, actor and television presenter, but how will Brian Conley fare on the dance floor?

The line-up for Strictly Come Dancing has been coming thick and fast and the 10th contestant to be announced is Brian Conley.

The comedian, actor and television presenter has a career spanning over 40 years, but does he have the moves needed to win the coveted glitterball trophy...?

Brian's big career break came in 1992 with The Brian Conley Show which was Britain's most-watched entertainment show at the time. It was here that he coined the famous phrase "It's a puppet!"

News that Brian was signed up for the 15th series of Strictly broke this afternoon (18 August) on Radio 2's Steve Wright In The Afternoon.

Speaking about the upcoming competition Brian said: "I'm delighted and honoured to be asked to strut my stuff on this year’s Strictly. My family all love the show and can't wait to see me do my dad dancing on national television."

He added: "I know it’s going to be a lot of hard work, but I'm up for the challenge, so bring on the spray tan and sequins."

Brian has won several awards during his TV career including a National Television Award for Most Popular Television Performer. He also has extensive experience working in theatre, has recorded three albums and starred in six films.

There is no doubting he'll have a stage presence but how will he fare against his fellow contestants?
