Tissues at the ready…
Coronation Street has given fans a sneak peek at Kate Connor’s emotional exit after actress Faye Brookes announced she had quit the soap in April.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes snap on Instagram on Saturday, Faye was seen filming her final scenes after four years on the cobbles.
The post was simply captioned: "What have you been up to this week? "Here's a little peek at what we've been doing in Weatherfield!"
The image sees Faye embracing her co-star Richard Hawley, who plays her on-screen father Johnny Connor, in the Rovers Return.
Jenny Bradley actress Sally Ann Matthews is also standing near by, beaming as she affectionately places one hand on Faye's shoulder.

Another added: “Goodbye Kate, I will miss you - gonna cry when she leaves."
Kate's final scenes in Weatherfield are expected to air sometime in September, as she decides to leave the Street after weeks of emotional turmoil.
Faye opened up about her decision to leave Corrie at the British Soap Awards in May, after she became the fifth star to announce their departure from the soap.
She told The Sun: “It's the end of my contract. It’s come to an end. I want to go out on a high.”
However, Faye is thankful that Corrie bosses have left the door open for her potential return, she added: “'I’ve had a lot of storylines to be fair. I’ve loved my four years. I’m really grateful to Corrie to leave it open ended because it means I can come back.”
In total, seven cast members have revealed they have quit Corrie. Among those still to leave are Lucy Fallon (who plays Bethany Platt), Katie McGlynn (Sinead Tinker), Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) and Tristan Gemmill (Robert Preston).
