Coronation Street teases terrifying labour for Gemma with behind-the-scenes snap
Soap bosses released a series of ‘sneak peeks’ from this week’s filming on Instagram.
The first snap shows Gemma Winter and her partner Chesney Brown riding a cable car, seemingly confirming reports that Gemma would go into labour with her quads while trapped on one.
‘What do you think is going on?’ the caption reads.
Corrie fans had plenty of ideas. ‘Chesney is gonna propose to Gemma, then Gemma has the babies whilst in the cable car,’ one suggested.
‘No doubt Gemma has her quads on the cable car,’ another agreed.
‘Isn’t it too early though?’ one person worried.
‘If they film a couple of months in advance she would be further on but still premature,’ another explained. ‘Quads would be delivered early anyway though preferably not in a cable car!’

The other images show Gail Platt comforting her granddaughter Bethany, Brooke Vincent looking emotional while filming her final scenes as Sophie Webster and Fizz Brown talking to an as-yet-unidentified woman.
Fans were thrilled to see Gail back on set. ‘GAIL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’ wrote one. ‘Good to see Gail again,’ another agreed.
But not everyone was happy to see Fizz return. ‘Ugh Fizz is back,’ one viewer commented. ‘Oh god, she not back is she?’ another asked. ‘Thought we had seen the last of her…’
Brooke Vincent recently shared a series of emotional behind-the-scenes clips from the set of Dev’s corner shop, where she filmed her final scene before going on maternity leave last week.
But what is the source of Bethany’s heartache? Could it have something to do with recent claims that she and Daniel Osbourne will kiss? Or is footballer James Bailey to blame?
‘Bethany is upset cos James comes out as gay when Bethany likes him,’ one viewer suggested.
Coronation Street has been keeping a lid on plot details, so we’ll have to wait and see, since the scenes aren’t expected to air for at least six weeks. Well, patience is a virtue…
Coronation Street continues on ITV.
