Robert can't believe his ears in tonight's Corrie!

Kate Connor stuns Robert Preston in tonight’s Coronation Street when she asks him to father her and Rana’s baby!

This evening, Kate bursts into the clinic where Rana is at work and suggests they adopt a baby. But Rana sends her packing, furious at being hassled during her shift.

Feeling low, Kate heads to the Bistro to drown her sorrows where she and Robert get chatting.

“Robert lets his guard down and confides in Kate that he’s always wanted to be a dad,” reveals Faye Brookes, who plays Kate.

“The penny drops for her and she thinks Robert could be the answer to everything. So, once she’s got some Dutch courage inside her, she asks him to father her and Rana’s child.”

Broody Robert is about to get a huge shock in tonight's Coronation Street - might he father Kate and Rana's baby?

Robert’s knocked for six and tells a drunk Kate that it’s a crazy idea. But with Michelle showing no signs of wanting to make a baby Robert, will he realise that this could be his only chance of becoming a father?

And, if he does, how on earth will Michelle react?

Meanwhile in Coronation Street tonight Gina lies to Sally, making out that Tim doesn’t want to talk to her. But, will Tim and Sophie finally work out Gina’s plan?

Plus, Evelyn agrees to babysit, but she’s soon calling Hope a naughty girl. Things get worse when Hope throws Evelyn’s jigsaw on the floor.
