Emma, Coronation Street

Emma's dying dad makes a stunning revelation which will rock Coronation Street

Emma confesses the devastating news to Audrey that her mum’s being lying to her for all these years.

Audrey and Steve’s mum Liz then do some working out and Liz tells Steve she reckons the dates mean he could be Emma’s father!

“Steve just can’t believe it – he hasn’t thought about Fiona for so long,” says Simon, who plays Steve.

“So to discover that she is actually Emma’s mum is a real blast from the past.”

But, Steve has another theory – that his own dad Jim is in fact Emma’s father. Jim famously had a fling with Emma’s mum Fiona and Steve reckons he might be Emma’s brother, not her dad!

“He feels Emma is more likely to be his dad Jim’s daughter, who Fiona had an affair with. In all honesty, he’s hoping Liz is wrong,” adds the 44-year-old star.

Coronation Street continues on ITV on Friday evening.
