'Heartbreaking': Corrie fans left 'in tears' after this shocking David Platt moment
David Platt is struggling to come to terms with what happened to him.
On Friday night's installment of Coronation Street, viewers were left in shock after witnessing David Platt finally break down, after being raped by Josh Tucker.
In difficult scenes, fans saw long-time character David come face-to-face with his nemesis in the Rovers Return after a fall-out with Shona.
There, David confronted his attacker, admitting to Josh, "I hate you. I despise you, you're sick in the head."
But the most devastating moment of the episode came as weeks of tension finally came to a head. Sat in the hairdressers, fans were left in shock as David reached for a pair of scissors - in a shocking attempt to self-harm.
And in the most heart-wrenching moment of all, the character then let out a heartbroken scream, descending into tears as he struggled to cope with the horrifying incident.
And it seems the difficult scene hit Corrie fans hard, as many took to social media to share their heartbreak over David's struggle.
