Ryan Thomas has reportedly landed a role in Neighbours after swapping the cobbled streets of Weatherfield for warmer climes.
Former Corrie actor Ryan Thomas is set for stardom down under after reportedly landing a role on Australian soap Neighbours.
According to the Daily Mirror, Ryan is trading the cobbled streets of Weatherfield for warmer climes in Erinsborough.
After a 16-year stint as Jason Grimshaw on Coronation Street, Ryan looks set to join the show that launched the international careers of Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Guy Pearce and Margot Robbie.
Little is known about his character Raphael and how long he will be a part of the show, but insiders are expecting him to be a big hit.
A source told the paper: “Ryan’s news may come as a bit of a surprise but people are confident he’ll make a big splash on Neighbours.
“He’ll bring his Corrie fans with him and earn a new legion of fans along the away.

“He is just waiting on his visa. Then he’ll be moving to Australia to film the show.”
Ryan is also rumoured to be following in the footsteps of his twin brother by starring in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here when the hit reality show returns this year.
A source close to the actor told The Sun online: “Ryan would be superb in the jungle and there has never been a family member following a family member into the outback ever in all the series.”
