This fabulous all-singing, all-dancing movie marked the return of the musical for me. I know Moulin Rouge! hit the screens a year earlier but that film just doesn't have the razzle dazzle like this one. I remember sitting in the cinema watching it and thinking 'wow, the musical is back'.
