Could Suzi Perry be joining the new Top Gear team?
Formula One racing presenter Suzi Perry has hinted she may be in line for a job on Top Gear.
Appearing as a guest on This Morning, when host Phillip Schofield suggested her name may be 'in the mix' she replied: “I believe so.”
She went on to say: “But I’m away 20 weeks a year doing Formula One, so unless someone has invented 48 hours in a day – which, maybe, (looking at Phillip Schofield) you have actually! You know, it would be pretty tough I think for me to do it.”

Suzi also revealed that years ago she did turn down a Top Gear presenting job.
“Well, when they brought it back 10 or 12 years ago, they didn’t have the whole team assembled, so it wasn’t true that it was those three – because if it had of been those three, I probably would have jumped on board – Jeremy wasn’t on board at the time and there was a lot of talk about it,” she explained. “I just didn’t think that I could do it, so yes, I did.”

Suzi described working in motorsport as 'just quite a difficult broadcasting job' and said: “We’re standing in a pit lane with cars coming in, with noise, you never know what’s going to happen next.”

She also said she found other women to be the 'worst critics' of all.
“They pick on things like your weight and what you’re wearing and the angle wasn’t very good, or your hair, but it’s part and parcel of the job and you just have to get on with it.”
The show will return with new host Chris Evans next year, who has called on Top Gear fans to send in short audition clips to join him as a co-host on the revamped show.
