Dannii breaks silence over X Factor judges

Dannii Minogue has finally spoken out over her feud with former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, which led to backstage fireworks on the last series. The Sun reports that Minogue - who won the show in 2007 with her act Leon Jackson - has said that Sharon did not approve of her joining the judging panel, and that fellow judge Louis Walsh was none too keen on her either. "When I arrived at X Factor, Sharon and Louis made it very clear they didn’t think I should be there," Minogue told the paper. "By the end of the series, Sharon made it public she didn’t like me." "I still don’t know what I did to deserve that kind of treatment." "It was very hard because I was excited to be on the show and had so much new stuff to learn. It was interesting that they kind of went out of their way to make it as difficult for me as possible." Sharon - who quit the current series of the show just before auditions began - has claimed in the past that Simon Cowell only hired Minogue to be on the show for her looks. However Minogue pointed out that he was her closest friend among the judges. "I think it forced Simon and I to be better friends as I was getting attacked so much from the other side of the judging panel," she revealed. And the singer added that she was very pleased with Sharon's replacement, Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole. "She brings a breath of fresh, young air to the show," Minogue said.
