Death in Paradise fans on tenterhooks today... is Florence dead?!
We'll find out this evening if Florence has died...
We've already lost one much-loved character in this series of Death in Paradise, as Danny John Jules' workshy Officer Dwayne Myers left the team and was replaced by hopeless newbie Ruby Patterson. But are we losing another one of Saint Marie's crime-fighting squad - DS Florence Cassell?
Viewers were shocked last week when Florence (played by Josephine Jobert) followed her fiance Patrice to an abandoned warehouse, when she feared he had got himself in some kind of trouble.
As she walked inside, she started to feel uneasy looking for Patrice and then, in a shock twist, fell to the floor, bleeding from a very nasty looking gunshot wound. She was still breathing (just) as the words "To Be Continued'" flashed up onto the screen. But will Jack and the team find her before it's too late?
The future looks bleak for Florence if you read the BBC's official description of tonight's episode: "With the team at rock bottom following the tragic and shocking events, will they be able to pull together and get justice for a victim they never expected? One thing is for certain - this could be their toughest case ever, and things will not be the same again."
[Here's why Danny John-Jules left the show]
Florence wouldn't be the first series regular to meet a grisly end, as original Inspector Richard Poole (played by Ben Miller) was found dead with an ice pick through his heart. But most escape alive, with Kris Marshall's Humphrey Goodman returning to the UK for love and Sara Martins' Camille Bordey sailing away to take up an undercover job in Paris.
