Denise Van Outen and Lee Mead end marriage

Actress and TV presenter Denise Van Outen has reportedly split from her husband Lee Mead after four years of marriage.

According to the Sun On Sunday the pair called time on the relationship in May after he returned from working in the US - with a source saying they 'fell out of love'.

The couple, who wed in front of just 12 guests in the Seychelles in 2009, have a three-year-old daughter, Betsy.

Speculation over their marriage has been rife in recent months, with work keeping them apart from long periods of time as Lee attempts to forge a US career.

Meanwhile Denise's own work schedule kept her in the UK as she took part in the 2012 series of Strictly Come Dancing, eventually finishing as a runner-up to Louis Smith.

"The distance just became too difficult to overcome," a source told the paper. "They have grown apart - and fallen out of love."

Denise admitted earlier this year that the enforced time apart had put a strain on things, saying: "To be honest, it is really difficult. We just haven't seen each other."

Lee and Denise initially met in 2007 when he was a contestant on the BBC One show Any Dream Will Do, and she was a judge.

The actor and singer eventually won the show, going on to take the lead role in Andrew Lloyd-Webber's West End production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
