Doctor Foster star Suranne Jones picks up Sky Arts Awards for hit show
BBC1's Doctor Foster, which stars Suranne Jones, has continued its winning streak by claiming best TV drama at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards.
The 37-year-old actress, who plays a GP with suspicions that her husband is having an affair in the drama, said it was a special award because it felt like recognition for the whole team.
Holding the trophy aloft, the actress, who first became a household name as Karen McDonald in Coronation Street, said: “We’re going to take it and love it and look at it and hopefully produce a Doctor Foster two with as much love and care.”

The actress, who also stars in Scott & Bailey, has already won a BAFTA TV award for her leading role in the series which was also nominated as best mini-series.
