EastEnders CANCELLED tonight – here’s why!
Sonia sums up the mood of EastEnders viewers this evening
EastEnders fans tuning in tonight for the latest action from Albert Square will instead find themselves watching football!
While last year EastEnders viewers suffered lots of schedule changes due to the men’s World Cup, this time it’s the Women’s World Cup causing all the trouble for soap nuts.
The BBC1 soap is a fixture on Friday nights, but it’s had to make way for the World Cup clash between France and South Korea, the first of the tournament.

And with the sporting event lasting a month, fans could be suffering more schedule changes at the hands of the footy.
But at least there has been four episodes of EastEnders on this week as normal, even if they weren't all in their usual slots.

Tonight's schedule looks like this on BBC1… The One Show 7pm, Women’s Football: World Cup 7.30pm, News 10pm, Local News; Weather 10.35pm and The Graham Norton Show at 10.35pm.
Casualty fans were gutted last month to discover their favourite show was making way on its normal Saturday night slot for the Eurovision Song Contest. And they were probably even less impressed when the UK came last!
EastEnders continues next Monday at 8pm.
